histone-H1

Function: - histone H1 binds to 'linker DNA' (~ 80 base-pairs) between nucleosomes, helping stabilize the 30 nm chromatin fiber [1,2] - it binds DNA at the sites of entry to & exit from the nucleosome, sealing off the nucleosome (illustration in [1,3])
