Etiology: - adverse effect of amiodarone - adverse effect of hydroxychloroquine Epidemiology: - common adverse effect of amiodarone Pathology: - whorl-like pattern of gray or golden brown deposits (hydroxychloroquine) Clinical manifestaitons: - halos around lights (bilateral) Special laboratory: - slit-lamp examination of the anterior segment: - whorl-like pattern of corneal epithelial deposits bilaterally Management: - discontinue amiodarone - wear sunglasses for symptomatic relief
