vestibular/ventricular fold (false vocal cord, ventricular band of larynx)
One of a pair of mucous membrane overlying the vestibular ligament.
-> stretch across the laryngeal cavity from the angle of the thyroid cartilage to the arytenoid cartilage
-> the right & left pair enclose the rima vestibuli that form the superior boundary of the laryngeal ventricle
Play little or no part in voice production but are protective in function.
