vena caval foramen (caval opening of diaphragm, caval foramen)

An opening in the right lobe of the central tendon of diaphragm, that transmits the inferior vena cava & branches of the right phrenic nerve. -> lies at the level of the disc between the thoracic vertebrae (T8 & T9).
