urine does not have a stron odoor if healthy & well hydrated Etiology: - bladder fistula - urinary tract infection - dehydration (concentrated urine can smell like ammonia) - poorly controlled diabetes mellitus (sweet smelling urine) - liver failure - ketonuria Laboratory: - urinalysis - urine culture if indicated - other testing as indicated
