uncinate process of pancreas (lesser, small, uncinate, unciform, Willis or Winslow pancreas, pancreas minus)

A portion of the head of the pancreas that hooks around posterior to the superior mesenteric vessels, sometimes into the nutcracker formed by the superior mesenteric artery & abdominal aorta.
