A plexus on the labyrinth wall of the tympanic cavity. Origin: 1) tympanic nerve 2) anastomotic branch of the facial nerve 3) sympathetic branches from the internal carotid plexus Innervation: 1) mucosa of the middle ear, mastoid cells & auditory tube (eustachian tube) 2) lesser superficial petrosal nerve to the otic ganglion
