turbidometry

The measurement of the decrease in intensity of an incident beam of radiation that is caused by scattering, reflectance, & absorbtion. Turbidometry requires a higher concentration of particles than nephelometry & turbidometric methods are linear over a more limited range than nephlometric methods.
