tRNA-splicing endonuclease subunit sen2; tRNA-intron endonuclease sen2; Hssen2 (TSEN2 SEN2)

Function: 1) one of 2 catalytic subunits of tRNA-splicing endonuclease 2) isoform 2 is a component of a complex with SEN54, but low level of SEN15 & SEN34 3) phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR Structure: belongs to the tRNA-intron endonuclease family Compartment: nuclear; may be transiently localized in nucleolus Alternative splicing: named isoforms=3 Expression: - isoform 1 & isoform 2 are widely expressed at very low level Pathology: - defects in TSEN2 are the cause of pontocerebellar hypoplasia type 2B
