transverse tarsal/Chopart/midtarsal joint (transverse tarsal articulation)

The synovial joints formed by the combined the talonavicular part of the talocalcaneonavicular & calcaneocuboid joints. -> indicated by a line from the posterior aspect of the tuberosity of the navicular to a point 1/2 way between the lateral malleolus &the tuberosity of the 5th metatarsal. Function: -> contributes to the total inversion & eversion movements.
