Procedure: procedure that
- images the infrared radiation (heat) emitted from body surfaces
- in patients with low back problems, thermographic image patterns of the back & lower extremities are measured
- temperature gradient studies thread an intravascular catheter into the coronary arteries to measure temperature differences on the inner artery walls [2]
Contraindications:
- not a substitute for mammography [1]
