teboroxime

Tc-99-labeled teboroxime is used in myocardial perfusion & viability studies. Teboroxime is more efficiently taken up by the myocardium than sestamibi, but clearance is very rapid with a 1/2 life of 10-12 minutes. Generally 15 mCi of Tc-99 teboroxime is used. Scanning should be finished within 10 minutes of IV administration.
