tarsometatarsal/cuneometatarsal/Lisfranc joint

The synovial joints between the tarsal & metatarsal bones. Consists of 3 joints: 1) Medial, between the 1st cuneiform & 1st metatarsal. 2) Intermediate, between the 2nd & 3rd cuneiforms & corresponding metatarsals. 3) Lateral, between the cuboid & 4th & 5th metatarsals. Articulation: Articular surface: -> Anterior tarsal bones with bases of metatarsal bones Articular capsule: -> Fibrous capsule encloses each joint Ligaments: -> Dorsal, plantar & interosseous ligaments Action: -> Gliding or sliding Vascular supply: -> Lateral tarsal artery Innervation: -> Deep fibular medial -> Lateral plantar -> Sural nerve
