Function: - ADP-ribosylated by TNKS1 (in vitro) - phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR - binds to the ANK repeat domain of TNKS1 & TNKS2 Compartment: - nucleus, cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, chromosome - colocalizes with chromosomes during mitosis, & in the cytoplasm with cortical actin Alternative splicing: named isoforms=2 Expression: - expressed in testis, ovary, lung, skeletal muscle, heart, prostate & pancreas - expressed at very low levels in brain & peripheral blood leukocytes
