Indications: - used as rat poison Pharmacokinetics: - 1/2life longer than that of warfarin Laboratory: - high prothrombin time & international normalized ratio (INR) - deficiency in vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors - factor II, factor VII, factor IX, factor X Mechanism of action: - high-potency vitamin K antagonist Management: - fresh frozen plasma & vitamin K - several month of tapering vitamin K therapy may be needed
