Indications: - familial hypercholesterolemia ? Adverse effects: - well tolerated (see statin) Mechanism of action: 1) decreases total cholesterol & LDL cholesterol similar to adults 2) diminishes carotid artery intima thickness in children with familial hypercholesterolemia
