sleep apnea headache

Etiology: - can occur independently of or exacerbate tension headaches or migraine headaches Clinical manifestations: - chronic morning headaches - poor sleep quality - daytime sleepiness - fatigue - headache generally bifrontal & dull - headache generally resolves shortly after awakening, but may last up to 4 hours - signs & symptoms of sleep apnea, obstructive sleep apnea Special laboratory: - sleep study (polysomnography) Management: - treatment of sleep apnea, obstructive sleep apnea
