Sal acid (salicylic acid 40% plaster)

Indications: - warts - corns - callouses - seborrheic dermatitis [2] - dandruff - psorisis - keratoderma - acne - pruritus Contraindications: - diabetes mellitus - peripheral vascular disease (risk of ulceration) Dosage: 1) apply to affected area after soaking of affected area in warm water for 5 minutes 2) apply only to wart/corn/callous site Adverse effects: - local irritation to the surrounding skin Mechanism of action: caustic keratolytic agent
