reversible ischemic neurologic deficit (RIND)

A focal neurologic deficit that resolves fully within 1 week. Etiology: - reversible ischemic neurologic deficits (RIND) & transient ischemic attacks (TIA) are usually secondary to atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels (cerebrovascular disease) Complications: -risk factor for subsequent ischemic stroke Notes: - the difference between RIND & TIA is not clear
