Indications:
- used to treat skin disorders
- acne
- seborrheic dermatitis, eczema,
- psoriasis
- urticaria [2]
- corns, calluses, & warts (verruca vulgaris)
Dosage:
- topical agent, use as needed
Adverse effects:
- common: redness & peeling of skin (may occur after a few days)
- less common or rare: skin irritation not present before use of resorcinol
- toxicity:
- diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain, or vomiting
- dizziness
- drowsiness
- headache (severe or continuing)
- nervousness or restlessness
- bradycardia, dyspnea
- sweating
- fatigue or weakness
Mechanism of action:
- helps remove hard, scaly, or roughened skin
