pruritic papules & plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP)
Clinical manifestations:
- erythematous pruritic erythematous papules & plaques
- may become vesicular
- accompanying edema
- initially within abdominal striae
- may generalize, but spares face, palms, soles
- 3rd trimester or postpartum
Management:
- self limited, resolved shorly after delivery
- early delivery rarely required [1]
- topical glucocorticoids + antihistamines treatment of choice [1]
