parathyroid adenomatosis [PRAD]-1 gene, CCND1 or bcl-1
PRAD for parathyroid adenomatosis.
Pathology:
- the PRAD1 gene was originally identified as a clonally rearranged & overexpressed gene linked to the bcl-1 locus in a set of benign parathyroid tumors.
- chromosomal translocation & gene amplification of PRAD1 has also been demonstrated in:
a) esophageal cancer
b) mantle cell lymphoma
c) breast cancer
d) head & neck cancer
e) hepatocellular carcinoma
