Clinical significance:
- 1/3 of postmortem imaging diagnoses have major discrepancies with autopsy diagnoses
- CT consistently with fewer diagnostic discrepancies from autopsy than MRI
- the most frequent imaging to autopsy discrepancies were both over & under diagnosis of
a) coronary artery disease
b) pulmonary embolism
c) bronchopneumonia
d) intestinal infarction
