posterior (dorsal) horn of spinal cord
The dorsal gray column of the spinal cord, extending from the cervical to lumbar-sacral level.
The nuclei of the posterior horn are:
1) marginal nucleus
2) substantia gelatinosa
3) nucleus proprius
4) substantia visceralis secondaria
5) internal basilar nucleus
6) medial cervical nucleus*
7) posterior nucleus of lateral funiculus
8) lateral cervical nucleus*
* cervical spinal cord only
