pneumaturia

Air in the urine may occur secondary to colovesicular fistula. Laboratory: - oral ingestion of: a) charcoal: look for charcoal in the urine b) methylene blue: look for methylene blue in the urine c) pyridium: look for pyridium in the stool - pyridium is absorbed, excreted in the urine & will traverse a fistula to appear in the stool
