phonophoresis

Use of ultrasound to push medicine deep into tissues (joints, muscles). A medication is added to the gel used between the head of the ultrasound machine & the skin. The most common medication used is hydrocortisone. Indications: 1) myalgias 2) tendonitis 3) bursitis
