parasternal lymph node

Number of small nodes that lie along the course of the internal thoracic vessels; lymph enters these nodes from the anterior intercostal spaces, pericardium, diaphragm, liver & medial mammary gland. -> efferent vessels pass upward to join the bronchomediastinal trunk
