Ocuvite PreserVision; AREDS formulation

Combination of: 1) vitamin C 500 mg 2) vitamin E 400 IU 3) beta-carotene 15 mg 4) zinc 80 mg 5) also contains a small amount of copper* * to prevent copper deficiency with high dose of zinc. The combination of antioxidants & zinc found to delay the progression of age-related macular degeneration. [2,3] Adverse effects: (potential) 1) anemia (chronic high-dose zinc) 2) immune dysfunction 3) increased risk of lung cancer (beta-carotene) Notes: Marketed by Bausch & Lomb.
