Nogo-B receptor (NgBR, nuclear undecaprenyl pyrophosphate synthase 1 homolog, NUS1, C6orf68, NGBR)

Function: - acts as a specific receptor for N-terminus of Nogo-B, a neural & cardiovascular regulator. - regulates vascular remodeling & angiogenesis - similarity with UPP synthetase proteins suggests that it may act as a scaffold for the binding of isoprenyl lipids &/or prenylated proteins - although strongly related to UPP synthetase family proteins, it has no lipid transferase activity Structure: belongs to the UPP synthetase family Compartment: - membrane - colocalizes with Nogo-B during VEGF & wound healing angiogenesis
