nitrogen mustard/vincristine (Oncovin)/prednisone/ procarbazine (MOPP)
Indications:
- chemotherapy regimen for treatment of Hodgkin's disease; associated with 84% complete remission & 48% 14 year survival
Adverse effects:
1) nausea & vomiting
2) bone marrow suppression
3) sterility
a) 90% of males completing 6 cycles of therapy
b) younger women are more resilient than older women
4) 2% risk of developing secondary acute leukemia within 10 years of therapy (acute non-lymphocytic leukemia)
