- upper respiratory tract infection
- bacterial colonization
Specimen:
1) swab from the nares (nasal)
2) inimum volume: 1 swab
3) container:
-> sterile culturette type swab or similar transport system containing a holding medium
Notes:
-> swabs made of calcium alginate may be used
