modified Glasgow criteria
The modified Glasgow criteria provide prognostic information for patients with pancreatitis. Increased morbidity & mortality are associated with the following criteria with 48 hours of admission to hospital:
1) age > 55 years
2) WBC > 15,000/mm3
3) glucose > 180 mg/dL
4) serum urea nitrogen > 96 mg/dL
5) serum LDH > 600 IU/L [for reference interval of 90-280 IU/L]
6) serum albumin < 3.3 g/dL
7) serum Ca+2 < 8 mg/dL
8) arterial pO2 < 60 mm Hg
