Etiology:
- malposition in the womb, malpresentation
Epidemiology:
- fairly common
Physical examination:
- careful examination of hip recommended
Clinical manifestations:
- front of the foot is bent or angled in toward the middle of the foot (metatarsak adduction)
- the back of the foot & the ankles are normal
- 50% with bilitaterl deformity
Management:
- in most children, the problem resolves as they use their feet normally
- less commonly
- stretching exercises may be needed.
- splint or special shoes called reverse-last shoes
- rarely
- orthopedic cast
- orthopedic surgery
