Etiology: - dermatomyositis - anti-synthetase syndrome [2,3] - myositis - Raynaud's syndrome - interstitial lung disease with anti-Jo-1 Ab Clinical manifestations: - scaley, rough, dry, hyperkeratotic fissured skin with cracked horizontal lines on palmar & lateral aspects of the fingers - described as 'thickened skin on tips & margins' of fingers (NEJM) [4]
