mdm2 proto-oncogene

Gene amplified in 17 of 47 sarcomas. In addition to p53, MDM2 gene is also regulated by the Ras/Raf/MEK/MAP kinase pathway through activation of Ets & AP-1 sites in the P2 promoter upstream from & independent of the p53 response element [3]
