lincosamide; linosamide

A family of lincomycin-related glycosides that contain a pyrrolidine ring linked via an amide-bond to a pyranose moiety. Different family members have different arrangement of specific constituent groups on the lyncomycin moiety (see linomycin). Some lincosamides are antibiotics produced by Streptomyces species.
