jugular lymphatic trunk (jugular duct)
Lymphatic vessel on each side conveying the lymph from the head & neck.
- right side empties into the right lymphatic duct
- left side into the thoracic duct
However, in most cases the trunks open independently into the junction of the internal jugular & subclavian veins to form the brachiocephalic veins. In some cases they open into both of these veins.
