internuclear ophthalmoplegia (INO)
Etiology:
1) lesions of the medial longitudinal fasciculus
2) especially in association with multiple sclerosis
Clinical manifestations:
1) failure of adduction (one eye) on horizontal gaze
- nystagmus of abducting eye [2]
2) retention of convergence
