iliopectineal arch (deep crural arch)
A thickened band of fused iliac & psoas fascia passing from the posterior aspect of the inguinal ligament anteriorly across the front of the femoral nerve. Presence of a psoas minor muscle makes its tendon of insertion blends with the arch.
Attachment:
- To the iliopectineal eminence of the hip bone posteriorly.
Notes:
Forms a septum that divides the space deep to the inguinal ligament into:
1) lateral muscular lacunae
2) medial vascular lacunae.
