iliopectineal arch (deep crural arch)

A thickened band of fused iliac & psoas fascia passing from the posterior aspect of the inguinal ligament anteriorly across the front of the femoral nerve. Presence of a psoas minor muscle makes its tendon of insertion blends with the arch. Attachment: - To the iliopectineal eminence of the hip bone posteriorly. Notes: Forms a septum that divides the space deep to the inguinal ligament into: 1) lateral muscular lacunae 2) medial vascular lacunae.
