Etiology: - administration of mouse monoclonal antibody to human Epidemiology: - 1/3 of patients receiving mouse monoclonal antibody - 10% of population carries some anti-animal antibody - newer in-vitro techniques manufacture monoclonal antibodies without use of mice, thus new cases becoming a relic of the past Clinical manifestations: - variable - rash - renal failure Laboratory: - diagnostic reagents that use mouse antibodies may not function properly [2]
