Indications: - assessment of Liver status following a diagnosis of hepatitis C virus (HCV) - baseline determination of liver status before initiating hepatitis C virus (HCV) therapy - post-treatment assessment of liver status six months after completion of hepatitis C virus (HCV) therapy - non-invasive assessment of liver status in patients who are at increased risk of complications from a liver biopsy Procedure: - alpha-2-Macroglobulin in serum - haptoglobin in serum - apolipoprotein A1 in serum - bilirubin total in serum - gamma-glutamyltransferase in serum - alanine aminotransferase in serum Interpretation: - a fibrosis score is calculated
