3) role in trafficking to lysosomes
Structure: heterotetramer of:
- 2 large adaptins (AP3D1 & AP3B2 or AP3B1)
- 1 medium adaptin (AP3M1 or AP3M2)
- 1 small adaptin (AP3S1 or AP3S2)
Compartment: Golgi, vesicles
Expression:
- AP3B2 expression is restricted to the central nervous system
