- GrimAge is a composite biomarker of aging based on 7 or 8 DNA methylation surrogates including a DNA methylation-based estimate of smoking pack-years [1] - GrimAge is an epigenetic clock with predictive ability for life expectancy - GrimAge estimates of levels of plasma proteins including - plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) [1] - growth differentiation factor 15 (GDF15) [1] - C-reactive protein (CRP) [2]
