Indications: - blood test with claim of identifying 50 different cancers * for patients with elevated cancer risk * does not detect all cancers Clinical trials: - UK's National Health Service (NHS) is to pilot a simple blood test that may detect > 50 types of cancer - pilot will include 165,000 people to start mid 2021, - pilot will include 140,000 persones age 50-79 years without symptoms to have annual blood tests over 3 years [1] - results are expected by 2023 - one of tbe goals of the pilot is determine whether cancers may be diagnosed at an early, more-treatable stage [1] Notes: - developed by Californian healthcare company Grail, with fuding from Bill Gates & Jeff Bezos
