Indications: - prophylaxis for venous thromboembolism - prevents DVT after total knee arthroplasty better than enoxaparin [1] Dosage: - 200 mg QD Adverse effects: - hemorrhage may be less than with enoxaparin Mechanism of action: - antisense oligonucleotide - reduces the level of factor XI
