Combination of olanzapine (Zyprexa) & fluoxetine (Prozac)
Indications:
-> bipolar depression
Dosage: QHS dosing
Tabs: olanzapine/fluoxetine 6/25, 6/50, 12/25, 12/50 mg
Adverse effects:
1) does NOT seem to increase risk of mania
2) may cause drowsiness
3) see olanzapine & fluoxetine
Mechanism of action:
-> see olanzapine & fluoxetine
Notes: Priced about the same as Zyprexa
