Fleisher criteria for imaging of solitary pulmonary nodule; Fleischner Society guidelines

Radiology: solitary pulmonary nodule < 1 cm - < 4 mm - low risk: no follow-up - high risk: - follow-up CT at 12 months* - if unchanged, no further follow-up* - 4-6 mm - low risk: - follow-up CT at 12 months - if unchanged, no further follow-up - high risk: - follow-up CT at 6-12 months, then at 18-24 months* - 6-8 mm - low risk: - follow-up CT at 6-12 months, then at 18-24 months - high risk: - follow-up CT at 3-6 months, then at 9-12 months, then at 24 months - 8-10 mm (high or low risk) - follow-up CT at 3, 9 & 24 months - dynamic contrast-enhanced CT, PET &/or biopsy * ground glass or semisolid nodules may require longer follow-up to rule-out indolent lung adenocarcinoma
