Indications:
- no FDA-approved indications
- used off label for treatment of ADHD, narcolepsy & depression
Pharmacokinetics:
- metabolized to amphetamine (24%) & theophylline (14%)
Adverse effects:
- does not increase blood pressure to same extent as amphetamine
Epidemiology:
- most commonly used in Arab countries
- used by ISIS fighters [2]
Laboratory:
- fenetylline in urine
