Indications: - orthopnea - congestive heart failure - left ventricular failure - mitral stenosis - obstructive lung disease - COPD - obstructive sleep apnea - asthma - dyspepsia, pyrosis, GERD - bilateral diaphragmatic paralysis or paresis - orthostatic hypotension - mechanical ventilation - increased intracranial pressure Procedure: - generally 30 degrees of elevation
