Drug interactions:
1) coadministration of simvastatin with amiodarone increases risk of muscle injury, rhabdomyolysis, leading to renal failure or death.
2) this risk is dose-related & increases when a dose of simvastatin > 20 mg per day is given with amiodarone
3) do not use amiodarone with simvastatin dose > 10 mg QD [2]
